Our 43.6-acre Chuwar Conservation Reserve is expanding, with new koala habitat zones, riparian restoration along Sandy Creek, and expanded Koala Kindy rehabilitation capacity.
Ipswich is one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia, and that rapid urban development puts real pressure on the native flora and fauna that call this area home. That is why the work happening at our 43.6-acre Chuwar Conservation Reserve has never mattered more.
The reserve straddles the riparian zone along Sandy Creek and is officially zoned as Koala Bushland, forming a critical ecological corridor in South East Queensland. This year, we have expanded the reserve's habitat zones, with new plantings and protected areas designed to support koala populations and other native wildlife under pressure from surrounding development.
Our Koala Kindy rehabilitation program, built in partnership with regional wildlife hospitals, is also growing. The enclosures provide a safe space for injured koalas to recover before release back into the wild. Alongside this, our nature immersion trails, wildlife displays, and outdoor education hub are hosting more schools and community groups than ever, connecting the next generation with the land.
What makes this work sustainable is Goodness Land Care, our commercial contracting division. Qualified bush regenerators and landscapers bid on environmental contracts for Ipswich City Council, state government bodies, and private landholders — and 100 per cent of the profits are reinvested directly back into the Chuwar Conservation Reserve. This is conservation funded by commerce, not by donations alone.
Caring for people and caring for creation go hand in hand. If you are a landholder, council, or business looking for professional ecological restoration, weed management, or revegetation services, Goodness Land Care is ready to quote — and every contract helps heal the local ecosystem.
