The Volunteer Village: The Heart and Hands of Goodness Enterprises

Our Volunteer Village brings together local volunteers across food relief, land care, and administration. Here is why volunteering with Goodness Enterprises is so rewarding.

Everything Goodness Enterprises does is powered by people who give their time freely because they believe in this community. Our Volunteer Village brings together dedicated locals who form the heart and hands of every program we run.

Our volunteers serve across the full breadth of our work. In the Food Co-Op, they sort, pack, and stock the shelves that feed families in need. On the road, volunteer drivers rescue and deliver food to local families. In our conservation reserve, land care volunteers help regenerate bushland and protect koala habitat. Behind the scenes, administration and events volunteers keep the organisation running smoothly.

Volunteering with Goodness is not just about giving — it is about belonging. Many of our volunteers find community, purpose, and even career pathways through their service. Several of our staff and trainees started as volunteers. Everyone has something to give, and everyone has something to gain.

If you have ever considered volunteering, there is a role for you and a community waiting to welcome you. You do not need special skills to start — just a willingness to show up. Whether you can give a few hours a week or a few days a month, your time has a direct, measurable impact on families across the Ipswich region.

To every volunteer who gives their time: thank you. You are the proof that it is in us to help. And to anyone thinking of joining — now is the perfect time. The need is great, and the welcome is always warm.
