Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before visiting the Give Goodness Food Co-Op and Centre.

Where exactly is the Food Co-Op located on-site?

We are located at 50 Coal Road, Chuwar QLD 4306 (the historic Tivoli Drive-In site). The Food Co-Op is located in the old church/auditorium building. When you arrive, simply follow the signs past the main office car park to find us easily. Ample free parking, including accessible spaces, is available.

Who is allowed to shop at the Food Store?

ANYONE. There are absolutely no eligibility requirements, no referral letters needed, and no concession cards required to shop at the Give Goodness Food Store. Everyone is welcome.

What payment methods do you accept?

The Food Co-Op accepts both Cash and Card (EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard). Our groceries are typically priced 30% to 60% below standard retail supermarkets. Plus, every guest who spends $20 or more receives free fresh fruit, vegetables, and bakery items (subject to daily availability).

Do you have diabetic-friendly or specific dietary options?

Yes, the Co-Op regularly stocks diabetic-friendly options, including an abundance of free fresh vegetables, lean meats, and sugar-free pantry staples. Because our inventory relies on rescued food logistics, specific brands vary day-to-day. Guests are always encouraged to ask a volunteer on-site to help them locate specific dietary items.

Does Goodness Enterprises operate an Op Shop?

Yes, alongside our social supermarket, our Give Goodness Food Store operates as a high-dignity op shop alternative in Ipswich. We offer budget clothing, pet food, and household essentials in addition to budget groceries.

Our Mission

Who We Are

Operating as Ipswich’s leading social enterprise network, Goodness Enterprises Limited (ABN: 13 098 115 961) is a registered charity dedicated to solving local challenges through sustainable business models.

Rather than relying solely on donations, we operate a self-sustaining ecosystem. We provide immediate relief through our budget social supermarket and food bank alternative. We create permanent career pathways through our Government-funded SQW traineeships. Finally, we protect local habitats through Goodness Land Care, our commercial land management and bush regeneration contractor division, where 100% of profits are reinvested back into the Ipswich community.

"We empower people for life – socially, economically, environmentally and spiritually."

We do this through meeting people’s needs for food, shelter, skills, employment, and community.
